The GREENING OF EPIPHANY committee has planned to spread the greening out during a 4-week period, beginning on Sunday, Dec. 1 and ending on Sunday, Dec. 22. This will spread out the festive atmosphere for all to enjoy before the final pieces come into place.
So, with that said, we will need help on Dec. 1, Dec. 8, Dec. 15 & Dec. 22, so mark your calendars & see if you can be of assistance any of those Sundays (beginning at 11:15 am).
Dec. 1 – We will hang the large wreath on the back wall, hang the Christmas quilt & display Nativity
needlepoint (NEED a brave soul who is not afraid of heights to climb a ladder).
Dec 8 – We will put up and decorate the artificial tree in the back of the church. Plus we will hang the greens from the rood beam and hang the Christmas banner. (Need a brave soul to be on a ladder).
Dec 15 – We will put bows on artificial wreaths & hang in Chancel: we will have our 2 live trees to decorate on each side of the altar rail.
Dec 22 – Finally, change altar hangings from blue to white, change out the Advent wreath from blue to white, arrange fresh poinsettias around the church, decorate window sills, decorate wall sconces with greens and bows, & assemble crèche in front of altar.
